Meet the Nimbus crew. A core team of four visual storytellers, we’ve been champions of video production in the Waikato since 2009. But our storytelling days started long before that.

Who we are

  • Sasha McLaren Woodcock

    Creative Director

Sasha is a multi-talented creative producer with a knack for extracting a narrative.

A natural storyteller and a Hillary Scholar, Sasha has a Master of Arts in Screen and Media. She’s also a Blues Award winner for Filmaking and is a trained digital storytelling facilitator from StoryCentre in San Francisco — the home of digital storytelling. When she’s not busy being all those things, Sasha’s busy practicing yoga and going on adventures with her two boys. Phew.

  • Dawn Tuffery

    Producer

Dawn is cool, calm and collected, no matter what’s thrown her way.

A gifted storyteller who got hooked on animation at age 19, she sealed her passion with a Master of Arts in 2010. Since then, she’s become Nimbus’ chief organiser, animator and editor, as well as six-time New Zealand running champion over the 100km and 24-hour events. And if that wasn’t enough, she’s a self-published cartoonist, part-time adventurer, and a stilt walker (just to keep things interesting)

  • David Woodcock

    Executive Producer

David ‘Woody’ Woodcock has an innate ability to bridge the gap between creativity and the client. So if you drop by and see us, he’ll probably be one of the first people you speak to.

A trained digital storytelling facilitator who’s in his element behind the camera, David has a knack for putting people at ease — especially when they’re looking ‘down the barrel’. Skill or straight-up super power? Who knows. But it does wonders for capturing the honesty of a story. And that’s what this track-cycling, zine-illustrating man does best.

  • Fabrice Coquet

    Cinematographer & Video Editor

Fabrice is a highly experienced and passionate creative, who comes to us all the way from Mauritius.

The very first time Fabrice held a video camera in his hands he fell in love. And we're mighty pleased about that, because this guy is super talented.
While not creating the beautiful stuff for Nimbus, Fabrice is loving exploring Aotearoa, especially on foot through the bush.
